1st National Memorial Drafting Competition, 2026 (Virtual) by Mar Gregorios College of Law

The Moot Court Society of Mar Gregorios College of Law, Thiruvananthapuram, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is organising the 1st National Memorial Drafting Competition, 2026. Mar Gregorios College of Law is Kerala's first NAAC-accredited law college. The competition is conducted entirely in virtual mode and is designed to test participants' legal research, analytical reasoning and memorial drafting skills through the preparation of memorials for both the petitioner and the respondent.

• Undergraduate law students enrolled in the 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated law courses.
• Postgraduate (LL.M.) law students.

Participants may register individually or in teams of two members. Cross-institutional teams are permitted. Each participant or team is required to submit memorials for both the petitioner and the respondent sides.

• Individual participant: Rs 600
• Team of two members: Rs 800

Payment is to be made through the college website at www.mgcl.ac.in under General > Online Payments > 1st National Memorial Drafting Competition.

Interested participants must complete the Google registration form and pay the applicable fee on or before 15 August 2026. Memorials must be submitted by email to the official competition address on or before 10 September 2026. Requests for clarifications on the moot problem may be raised until 20 August 2026, with clarifications released on 25 August 2026. Results will be declared on 20 September 2026.
