The School of Law, Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU), Jaipur is hosting the 1st SGVU-RANKA National Moot Court Competition 2026, in collaboration with the Ranka Public Charitable Trust. The competition runs physically on the university campus from 8 to 10 August 2026.
It aims to give budding legal professionals a national platform to sharpen their advocacy, legal research, drafting, analytical reasoning, and courtroom etiquette through simulated judicial proceedings, while promoting ethical advocacy, professionalism, and intellectual discourse on contemporary constitutional issues.
SGVU is a NAAC A+ accredited university recognised for academic excellence, innovation, interdisciplinary education, and professional development. Its School of Law emphasises practical legal education through moot courts, legal aid programmes, seminars, internships, court visits, and advocacy training, and houses a modern, air-conditioned Moot Court Hall for real courtroom simulation.
The Ranka Public Charitable Trust, established in 1980 by Late Dr. N. M. Ranka, has long promoted legal education, philanthropy, and advocacy through scholarships, law festivals, trial advocacy competitions, and national moot court competitions.
The proposition is centred on Constitutional Law with a special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence. You will argue a fictional case involving AI-generated deepfake technology, Aadhaar-based facial authentication, digital identity theft, privacy rights, cyber fraud, negligence of banks and fintech companies, and the constitutional obligations of the State regarding digital identity protection.
The competition consists of Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final Round, judged by eminent judges, senior advocates, academicians, and legal experts.
The competition is open to students enrolled in 5-year integrated law programmes and 3-year LL.B. programmes from recognised law schools, colleges, and universities across India.
