2nd CCI-MNLUCS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2026

The Moot Court Association and the Centre for Competition Law and Policy, Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MNLUCS), in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) as Title Sponsor and Phoenix Legal as Co-Organiser, present the 2nd CCI-MNLUCS National Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2026. SCC Online is the Knowledge Partner, SCC Times the Media Partner and Eastern Book Company the Collaborating Partner.

The competition invites law students from across India to argue a contemporary antitrust and competition law problem before eminent panels drawn from the CCI, the judiciary and leading law firms. The inaugural 2025 edition drew 64 teams (192 participants) from National Law Universities, central and state universities and leading private law schools.

• Open to students enrolled bona-fide on a regular basis in an undergraduate law course, or its equivalent, conducted by any institution recognised by the Bar Council of India.
• Open to students currently enrolled in LL.B. (3-year or 5-year integrated) degree courses.
• The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel the participation of a participant or team on valid grounds.

• Each team shall comprise two or three members.
• In a three-member team, two members act as speakers and one as researcher.
• No cross-institutional teams are allowed.
• The team composition notified at registration must remain unchanged throughout the competition; no substitution is permitted after the registration deadline except with the prior written approval of the Organising Committee.

• Winner: Trophy, cash prize of Rs 50,000, internship with Phoenix Legal and one-year SCC Online subscriptions (worth Rs 33,500 each) for all team members.
• Runner-Up: Trophy, cash prize of Rs 30,000 and an internship opportunity.
• Best Speaker: Trophy and cash prize of Rs 10,000.
• Best Memorial (Petitioner): Trophy and cash prize of Rs 10,000.
• Best Memorial (Respondent): Trophy and cash prize of Rs 10,000.
• One-month SCC Online Web Edition access (worth Rs 3,100 each) for all participants, plus certificates of participation or merit.

The Stage I registration fee is Rs 4,500 per team and is non-refundable except as decided by the Organising Committee. Registration is complete only upon submission of the registration form and payment of the registration fee. Teams qualifying for the Semi-Final Rounds receive Stage II instructions separately via their registered email.
