About the course

The GNLU Centre for Business and Public Policy, Gujarat National Law University, together with the law offices of Panag, Babu & Sarangi, is running the 2nd edition of its Certificate Course on White Collar Crimes from 23rd to 25th September 2026, in physical mode at the GNLU campus in Gandhinagar.

The programme carries 18+ hours of immersive classroom learning delivered by leading practitioners from Panag, Babu & Sarangi and distinguished academicians from Gujarat National Law University. It is built as an intensive, practitioner-led certificate programme that combines academic rigour with practical insight, so that participants understand the realities of investigations, enforcement and defence in white-collar matters.

What the course covers

  • The entire life-cycle of a white-collar crime case, from commission and detection through to investigation, defence strategies and adjudication.
  • Corporate frauds, insider trading and securities fraud, with a focus on the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regime.
  • The role of regulatory agencies and their powers, jurisdiction and practical functioning in white-collar investigations.
  • Investigation techniques, including forensic audits and digital evidence collection.
  • Selected outstanding participants are considered for internship opportunities with Panag, Babu & Sarangi.
  • The programme includes structured networking with practitioners and academicians working in the field.

Eligibility

  • Under-graduate students in the 3rd, 4th or 5th year, in the case of an integrated 5-year LL.B. programme.
  • Under-graduate students in the 2nd or 3rd year, in the case of a 3-year LL.B. programme.
  • Students pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
  • Ph.D. scholars in law or related areas.

Admission and selection

  • Total number of seats: 70.
  • Selection is strictly based on a review of the resume and the Statement of Purpose.
  • The payment link is sent only after shortlisting.
  • Scholarships are awarded on a need-cum-merit basis after a review of the Statement of Purpose, applied for through a separate form.

The 1st edition, held from 28th to 30th September 2025, drew more than 125 applications and enrolled over 75 students from 23+ universities across India.

Fee

The course fee is:

  • Rs 5,000 + applicable taxes for non-GNLU students
  • Rs 4,000 + applicable taxes for GNLU students

The payment link is sent separately once a candidate is shortlisted, so there is nothing to pay at the application stage.

The brochure also records five need-based scholarships, fully funded by Panag, Babu & Sarangi, covering all course expenses. These are applied for through a separate form and awarded on a need-cum-merit basis after a review of the Statement of Purpose. The 1st edition was run with five need-cum-merit fee waivers.

How to apply

Applications are made through the official Google registration form linked below, which asks for a Google sign-in. The last date for registration is 18th August 2026. The five need-cum-merit based scholarships are applied for through a separate form, also linked below, which is assessed on a Statement of Purpose.

Cash prizes for outstanding participants
₹50,000 · The GNLU Centre for Business and Public Policy states that the 2nd edition carries cash prizes of up to Rs. 50,000 for outstanding participants. In the 1st edition the top three students each received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.
