The 2nd International Conference on SEPs and Patent Innovation, 2026 (ICSPI 2026) is the flagship international conference under the 3rd South Asian Global Intellectual Property Summit, 2026, organised by the Centre for Development of Intellectual Property and Research (CDIPR), Naovina Development of Intellectual Property and Research Foundation, in collaboration with the Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) and the Open Invention Network (OIN), and powered by the Community for Academic Research and Development (CARD).
Building on the success of the 2025 edition, which drew participants from 96 countries and 120+ institutions, the 2026 Conference aims to strengthen global dialogue on Standard Essential Patents (SEPs), FRAND licensing, competition law, technology governance, and innovation policy. It brings together academicians, judges, policymakers, patent professionals, economists, technology companies, innovators, and students to examine the evolving legal and policy landscape governing standardisation, innovation, and technology transfer.
The conference will be conducted virtually on 26 July 2026, with selected authors presenting their papers in live sessions before an international audience.
Participants may submit papers under the following thematic tracks:

Format: Times New Roman; body text 12pt justified; headings 14pt centred; subheadings 13pt; footnotes 10pt left-aligned; Bluebook 21st Edition citation style; 1.5 spacing; English only.
Each submission must include an abstract of up to 300 words with 5 keywords. Submissions must be original and unpublished; plagiarism must not exceed 10% and AI-generated content is not allowed. Papers may have up to two co-authors.
Selected contributors receive publication in an international edited volume with ISBN, an International Certificate of Presentation, and eligibility for Best Paper and Emerging Scholar Awards.
Interested authors must submit a 250-300 word abstract via the official Abstract Conference Form by 10 July 2026. Selected authors will be notified by 12 July 2026 and invited to submit full papers (3,000-4,000 words) by 20 July 2026, followed by presentation confirmation on the same date. The conference will be held virtually on 26 July 2026.
