The Faculty of Law, Manipal University Jaipur, in collaboration with the Green Horizon Club and in association with Tribus Legal (title sponsor), is organising the 3rd Manipal-Tribus Legal International Client Counselling Competition 2026 (ICCC 3.0), the third edition of its International Client Counselling Competition.

The competition simulates a law office consultation. Two law students acting as counsel receive a short memorandum on the client's problem, interview a role-played client, identify the client's goals and the legal and practical issues, and present a range of options. Each interview is followed by a Post-Consultation session in which counsel discuss the matter and answer the judges' queries in the absence of the client. The official language is English.

The Faculty of Law, Manipal University Jaipur is ranked 32nd in the NIRF 2025 Law rankings.

• Preliminary Round (online, Google Meet), 4 October 2026: 25 minutes per team (20 minutes Client Consultation and 5 minutes Post-Consultation).
• Quarter Final (offline, MUJ campus), 9 October 2026: top 8 teams; 40 minutes (30 + 10).
• Semi Final (offline), 10 October 2026: top 4 teams; 40 minutes (30 + 10).
• Final (offline), 10 October 2026: top 2 teams; 50 minutes (40 + 10), followed by the Valedictory and Awards Ceremony.

The case problem for a round may be circulated at least three hours before that round begins. Each counsel is scored out of 100 by every judge on ten criteria of 10 marks each, giving a team score out of 200. Teams must stay anonymous and are identified only by their Team Code.

Problems will be drawn from international and domestic legal practice, including International Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Dispute Resolution, International Contract Law, International Maritime Law, Climate Change Law, Biodiversity Law, Pollution Control Law, Natural Resources Law, and Land Use and Zoning Law. The list is indicative.

• Open to students currently enrolled in a three-year or five-year law degree programme at any recognised University, College, School or Faculty of Law.
• Students of LLM or other postgraduate programmes, diploma or certificate courses and part-time law programmes are not eligible.
• Each team has exactly two members, both acting as Counsel. Mixed teams from two institutions are not allowed.
• An institution may register a maximum of two teams.
• No change in team composition after registration, except in a genuine emergency with the Organising Committee's prior written approval.

• Registration fee: Rs 3,000 per team, non-refundable once registration is complete.
• Advance Round Participation Fee: an additional Rs 3,500 per team, payable only by teams that qualify for the offline rounds. It covers accommodation, food during the stay and participant kits. Travel to Jaipur and personal expenses are borne by participants.
• Observers: faculty and others interested in client counselling may observe the competition for Rs 1,000.

• Fill in the official Google registration form (sign-in required) with the institutional and participant details.
• Pay Rs 3,000 per team through the official payment mechanism and keep the payment proof.
• Registration is complete only after the form is submitted and the fee is paid. Each registered team then receives a Team Code, which must be quoted in all later correspondence.
• Join the official WhatsApp group when invited; round schedules and results are shared there and by email.

Strict formal attire is required during all rounds and ceremonies: white shirt, black trousers, black tie, black blazer and black formal shoes. Cameras must stay on throughout the online round, recording is prohibited, and mobile phones and second screens may not be used during rounds. Printed materials such as compendiums, bare acts and personal notes may be used if they do not reveal the team's identity.

The brochure gives two registration closing dates: 2 October 2026 in its Registration section, and 3 October 2026 in its Important Dates table, which the poster also shows. Register by 2 October to be safe. Qualifying teams receive their offline round call sheet before 10 October.
