About the Conference

The 5th International Conference on Law and Social Transformation (ICLS 2026) is organised by the Alliance Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution (ACADR), Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, Bengaluru. It provides an international platform for academicians, researchers, judges, arbitrators, mediators, legal practitioners, policymakers, industry experts, corporate professionals, and research scholars to exchange ideas and present original research on contemporary developments in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

The conference explores the transformative role of arbitration, mediation, conciliation, negotiation, Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), artificial intelligence, investment arbitration, ESG governance, technology-enabled justice systems, and cross-border dispute resolution in advancing sustainable development and strengthening access to justice. It will be held in Hybrid Mode (in-person and virtual) from 26 to 28 October 2026 at Alliance University, Bengaluru.

Conference Theme

"Resolving Conflicts Sustainably: The Role of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Advancing Global Development Goals"

The conference features eight interdisciplinary tracks covering Alternative Dispute Resolution, Sustainable Development, Technology, Corporate Governance, Human Rights, Climate Justice, International Arbitration, and Emerging Areas of Law.

  • Track IV: Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Online Dispute Resolution

  • Track VI: Environment, Climate and Sustainable Resource Governance
  • Track VII: Human Rights, Society and Inclusive Justice
  • Track VIII: Emerging Trends in ADR

The thematic sub-topics listed under each track are illustrative rather than exhaustive; interdisciplinary research integrating perspectives from Law, Management, Public Policy, AI, Technology, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Business, International Relations, Environmental Studies, and Data Governance is particularly encouraged.

Who Should Submit

The Organising Committee invites submission of original, unpublished, high-quality research papers advancing the theory, policy, and practice of ADR from academicians, researchers, judges, arbitrators, mediators, legal practitioners, policymakers, corporate professionals, industry experts, doctoral scholars, and postgraduate students.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions are accepted via Microsoft CMT (https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICLSAU2026).

  • Abstract: 300-350 words with 4-6 keywords
  • Manuscript categories: Full Research Papers, Case Studies, Policy Papers, Doctoral Research Papers, Interdisciplinary Research Papers
  • Manuscript length: 6,000-8,000 words (including abstract, references, tables, figures)
  • Maximum three authors per manuscript
  • Double-blind peer review; author names/affiliations must be removed from the initial submission
  • Plagiarism (Turnitin or equivalent) must not exceed 10% similarity, excluding bibliography and properly cited material

Publication Opportunity

Selected papers, following successful completion of the editorial and peer-review process, will be eligible for consideration for publication in conference proceedings published by a reputed international publisher, subject to the publisher's editorial policies and acceptance criteria.

Following publication, the proceedings volume will be submitted by the publisher for consideration for inclusion in the Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) or Scopus, subject to the publisher's policies and the independent evaluation criteria of Clarivate or Elsevier. This indexing is not confirmed and is subject to independent evaluation by the indexing agencies.

Early Bird (11 Aug - 25 Sep 2026):

  • Indian Delegates: INR 6,000
  • International Delegates: USD 100
  • LDC Delegates: USD 65

Regular (26 Sep - 18 Oct 2026):

  • Indian Delegates: INR 7,500
  • International Delegates: USD 150
  • LDC Delegates: USD 80

Publication Charges (Open Access): INR 13,000 (USD 140) per accepted paper. Registration fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
