6th National Level Mediation Competition (NLMC 6.0) by Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior [Virtual; 14-15 October 2026; Register by 10 October]

The Mediation & ADR Cell of Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh (AUMP), Gwalior, is holding the sixth edition of its National Level Mediation Competition (NLMC 6.0) on 14 and 15 October 2026. The theme line for this edition is “Building Understanding Through Dialogue”. The competition simulates real-world mediation, with client-counsel interaction, mediator facilitation and settlement strategy, and the entire event is held in virtual format.

Amity University Madhya Pradesh was established in 2010 on a 102-acre campus opposite Gwalior Airport. Amity Law School, Gwalior, set up in 2013, runs moot courts, mediation competitions, debates and ADR activities. Its Mediation and ADR Cell was founded in 2021 and has run the National Level Mediation Competition every year since, with the 2024 edition being the first held online.

• The rulebook opens the competition to bona fide students of undergraduate or postgraduate courses in three-year or five-year law (or other) programmes. The organiser's announcement describes it as open to undergraduate students of 3-year and 5-year LL.B. programmes at recognised law universities and colleges across India.
• All three team members must be enrolled in the same recognised educational institution.
• Each team has three members: one Mediator, one Counsel and one Client. The Mediator's role stays fixed through the competition; the Client and Counsel may swap roles between rounds but not within a round.
• A maximum of 3 teams may participate from one institution.
• Once registered, no change in team composition is allowed.

• Qualifying (Preliminary) Round: 60 minutes, including up to 10 minutes of caucus.
• Quarter-Final Round: top 8 teams, 60 minutes (including 10 minutes of caucus).
• Semi-Final Round: top 4 teams, 70 minutes (including 10 minutes of caucus).
• Final Round: top 2 teams, 90 minutes (including up to 15 minutes of caucus).
• Caucus time is shared equally between both teams in a session. In each session the two mediators (from different teams) are identified as Mediator 1 and Mediator 2.
• Mediators are marked out of 100 on advancing the interests of the client, communication and information sharing, relationship building and professional conduct, teamwork and time management, and settlement or commitment sought (20 marks each).
• The official language is English and the dress code is law formals; non-compliance may attract penalties.

The proposition has General Information common to all teams and Confidential Information specific to each team. Confidential Information is shared 45 minutes before each round, a different proposition is used for each round, and sides are assigned in advance. The rulebook's Important Dates table lists the proposition release on 1 October 2026, the last date for seeking clarifications on 4 October and the release of clarifications on 11 October; another page of the same rulebook gives 8 October for the proposition release, so registered teams should follow the Organising Committee's official communication, which the rules say prevails. • Rs 3,500 per team for Amity students.
• Rs 4,500 per team for non-Amity students.
• Rs 6,000 per team for foreign students.
• The fee is paid through Amity University's online payment page for NLMC 6.0, which also computes any GST payable. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

• Fill in the official Google registration form and pay the fee on the Amity payment page; both are linked from the Mediation & ADR Cell's official Linktree.
• Registration is confirmed only after the form is submitted along with the fee. Slots are limited and allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The last date for registration is 10 October 2026. Each registered team is assigned a Team Code for anonymity during the rounds.

The brochure has an Awards and Recognition page and the organiser's announcement mentions prizes, but neither states prize amounts or named awards. The rulebook reserves the Organising Committee's right to change the programme, including the prize pool.
