The Moot Court Society of Saveetha School of Law (SSL), Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, invites law students to the 9th Edition of Jus Amicus, its national moot court competition, to be held from 15 to 17 September 2026. Jus Amicus 2026 is designed to give participants a platform to develop and showcase their legal research, memorial drafting, and oral advocacy skills by simulating real court proceedings on contemporary constitutional questions.
This year's proposition concerns men's rights, gender equality, consensual relationships, the right to privacy, digital harassment, reputational dignity, freedom of speech, and the constitutional recognition of a claimed 'Right against Digital Social Death', to be argued before a Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court.
The competition is open to law students subject to the following conditions:
Each participating team shall pay a registration fee of Rs 3,500 (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred only). Registration is complete only upon successful payment of the fee and submission of the registration form, with proof of payment uploaded along with the form. The fee is non-refundable except in circumstances determined by the Organising Committee.

Participating teams shall arrange their own accommodation and transportation between the place of stay and the University at their own expense. The organisers can assist participants with accommodation details on request.
