Advanced Training Programme on Interplay of Law and Commerce in Indian Sport at GNLU Gandhinagar with LawNK Partners (6-9 October 2026, Hybrid, 50 Seats)

The GNLU Centre for Sports & Entertainment Law (GCSEL) at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, in collaboration with LawNK Partners, is organising Edition 01 of its Advanced Training Programme on Interplay of Law & Commerce in Indian Sport from 6 to 9 October 2026. The programme offers 16 hours of instruction across 8 sessions, and only 50 seats are available.

The brochure notes that the Indian sports industry is seeing heavy investment and growth in established disciplines such as hockey and cricket and in emerging ones such as pickleball, and that this growth brings legal issues at every level: national governing bodies and state associations, league-franchise relations, franchise-player engagements and the event-fan interface, along with broadcasters, sponsors, digital platforms, academies, infrastructure operators and technology partners. The course covers the development, particular challenges and emerging issues of Indian sports law and commerce, and aims to give participants a working understanding of sports law practice.

GNLU Centre for Sports & Entertainment Law (GCSEL) is a specialised academic and research centre at Gujarat National Law University that works on sports and entertainment law, covering governance, commerce and athlete rights. It runs research, capacity-building programmes, conferences, training programmes and industry collaborations.

The programme runs in hybrid mode. Participants from Gujarat attend on campus at Gujarat National Law University, Attalika Avenue, Knowledge Corridor, Koba, Gandhinagar - 382426. Outstation participants can choose to attend online.

Register through the official Google Form linked from the QR code in the brochure (the form asks you to sign in with a Google account). The brochure does not give a closing date for registration, but seats are limited to 50 and the organisers ask applicants to register early. Registration effectively closes when the programme begins on 6 October 2026.
