About the organiser

Amity University Chhattisgarh is a private state university at Raipur, part of the Amity network run by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation. The Amity Summit - Model United Nations (MUN) 2026 is organised by its Amity School of Communication (ASCO) and will be held on the university's Raipur campus at Math (Kharora), on the NH-130B Raipur-Baloda Bazar road.

About the summit

The organisers describe the Amity Summit as an immersive diplomatic conference built around the working principles of the United Nations, under the tagline "Debate. Diplomacy. Leadership. Impact." Over two days delegates sit in committee sessions, negotiate on the assigned agenda, draft resolutions and work through the usual MUN skills of public speaking, caucusing and consensus-building. The stated aim is to give participants practice in policy deliberation and cross-cultural negotiation rather than to run a purely competitive circuit event.

Dates, venue and mode

  • Dates: 19 and 20 September 2026 (two days)
  • Mode: Offline only - the registration category on the portal is expressly "Single Committee (Offline)"
  • Venue: Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur
  • Language: English in every committee

Committees and agendas

  • United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC): The Rise of Digital Authoritarianism - Safeguarding Privacy, Free Expression and Human Rights in the Digital Age
  • United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP): Extreme Weather and Global Security - Addressing the Geopolitical Impacts of Heatwaves, Floods and Climate Migration in 2024-25
  • United Nations Women (UNW): Breaking Barriers - Advancing Women's Political Participation and Leadership in the 21st Century
  • Lok Sabha: Rising Incidents of Examination Paper Leaks in India - Ensuring Transparency, Accountability and Educational Reforms
  • All India Influencers Meet (AIIM): Rising Incidents of Examination Paper Leaks in India - Ensuring Transparency, Accountability and Educational Reforms
  • International Press (IP): no agenda; delegates apply for the role of Journalist or Photographer

Eligibility

The summit is open to school and college students; there is no requirement that a delegate be from a law programme or from Amity. Note that the organiser's two documents state different age bands - the official poster on the Amity events portal says 11 to 21 years, while the summit brochure says 14 to 23 years. Anyone near either boundary should confirm with the coordinators before paying, since the organisers have not reconciled the discrepancy. The registration form asks whether you are currently associated with Amity University and whether you are registering as a student or as faculty or staff, so both categories are accepted.

Registration fee and accommodation

  • Delegate fee: Rs 800 for Type 1 - Single Committee (Offline)
  • Hostel accommodation: Rs 300 per day, booked on a separate accommodation form on the same portal
  • GST: the payment page carries separate Amount, GST Amount and Payable Amount fields, so tax is added on top of the base figure at checkout
  • Refunds: the summit runs a strict no-refund policy - money is returned only if the conference is officially cancelled

What every delegate gets

Beyond the awards, the organisers list a set of benefits that go to every registered delegate: free pre-conference training, participation certificates, letters of recommendation and excellence, an executive board committed to fair marking and mentorship, two days of socials and informal spaces, and the chance to network with participants from across India.

How to apply

Registration is entirely online through Amity University's own events portal. Open the delegate form, indicate whether you are associated with Amity University, choose Student or Faculty/Staff, pick one committee preference from the drop-down, then fill in your name, email, contact number, class or year, institution, age, state, city and the number of MUNs you have previously attended (write N/A if this is your first). Accept the declaration and complete the payment. Hostel accommodation is booked separately on the accommodation form linked below. The organisers have not published a registration cut-off date; the portal is open at the time of writing, and committee seats are allotted as registrations come in, so apply well before 19 September 2026.
