The Centre for Law, Economics and Society (CLES), a research initiative of the Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP), in collaboration with the Economic Policy Center at Mahindra University, invites submissions for its Annual Conference 2027 on the theme Law, Economics, Trade and Justice.
The conference brings together researchers, academics, policymakers and practitioners to examine how legal systems shape economic outcomes, governance, trade and access to justice. It will be held on 5-6 February 2027 at Mahindra University, Hyderabad.
Themes
Submissions are welcome across the intersection of law, economics, trade and justice, including but not limited to:
- Access to justice and judicial efficiency
- Criminal justice and dispute resolution
- Labour law and competition policy
- Trade governance and comparative trade studies
- Intellectual property
- Climate policy and legal technology
Submission Categories & Word Limits
- Abstract: 300 words
- Academic Research Papers: 6,000-8,000 words
- Policy Papers: 3,000-5,000 words
- Empirical and Field Studies: 4,000-6,000 words
- Comparative Legal and Trade Studies: 4,000-6,000 words
How to Submit
Interested authors should submit a 300-word abstract by 15 September 2026 to info@cdpp.co.in with the subject line "Law Conference: Abstract Submission (Your Name)" and a brief introduction of the author(s) in the body of the email.
