Area Legal Manager at Bandhan Bank, West Bengal (Kolkata)

Bandhan Bank is hiring an Area Legal Manager for West Bengal, based at its Head Office in Kolkata, to manage litigation, dispute resolution, and legal risk across the bank's retail and micro-lending portfolios.

• Manage end-to-end litigation, dispute resolution, and legal risk across multiple jurisdictions
• Handle contractual, consumer, vendor, employment, and debt recovery matters (SARFAESI, DRT, IBC)
• Monitor the end-to-end SARFAESI process including Symbolic and Physical Possession, Auction and Sale, coordinating with outsourced agencies and the collection team
• Draft, review, and reply to letters and notices received from customers, lawyers, courts, and authorities in coordination with the HO Legal Team
• Review and vet loan agreements, declarations, undertakings, and connected legal documents for Home Finance, Retail Banking, and Micro/Group Loans

Strong expertise in legal drafting, litigation management, stakeholder management, compliance, negotiation, and strategic risk mitigation, with proficiency in legal research tools. Experience handling banking law and debt recovery processes is required.
