Assistant Legal Counsel at YES BANK, Mumbai (2-5 Years PQE)

YES BANK is hiring an Assistant Legal Counsel for its team in Mumbai. This is a full-time, in-house legal role for professionals with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience who want to build their career in the banking and financial services sector.

YES BANK is one of India's leading private sector banks, providing a comprehensive range of banking and financial services to retail, MSME, and corporate customers. The legal function supports the bank's business and operational teams on contracts, compliance, litigation and transactional matters.

As Assistant Legal Counsel, you will work closely with business and operational teams to manage legal and regulatory matters. Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Providing legal advice and support to various business and operational teams.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
• Assisting in managing litigation matters and coordinating with external legal counsel.
• Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions on a wide range of issues.
• Supporting business teams in evaluating the legal implications of transactions and strategic initiatives.

• You hold an LL.B. degree from a recognised university.
• You have 2-5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Experience in banking, financial services, NBFCs, law firms, or corporate legal teams will be preferred.

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Salary: As per company norms and the candidate's experience.
