About the Role
Godrej Properties is hiring an Assistant Manager, HO-Legal, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The requisition is listed as a full-time role (requisition ID P-100774) on the Godrej careers portal.

Real Estate Transactions and Documentation
- Draft and review transaction documents including term sheets, agreements to sell, sale deeds, development agreements, powers of attorney and other ancillary documents
- Assist in conducting title due diligence and identifying legal risks
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to facilitate timely closure of transactions
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Manage litigation across various judicial and quasi-judicial forums
- Draft and review pleadings, legal notices, replies, written submissions, affidavits and briefing notes
- Coordinate with external advocates and counsel, monitor case progress and ensure timely filings
- Attend court hearings and conferences with counsel wherever required
- Maintain litigation trackers and provide periodic updates to management
Contract Management, Knowledge Management and Reporting
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and vendor agreements
- Develop and maintain standard templates, legal precedents and drafting guidelines
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations and judicial precedents affecting the real estate sector, and prepare legal updates and knowledge notes
- Ensure adherence to internal legal processes, approval matrices and documentation standards
- Prepare periodic legal MIS on transactions, litigation, compliances and key legal risks
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, external consultants and government authorities
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of Indian law
- Sound knowledge of real estate laws, including title due diligence, property documentation and land transactions
- Exposure to both transactional work and litigation or dispute resolution
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical and research skills
- Strong communication skills
- High level of ownership, attention to detail and professional ethics
Candidates with experience in a real estate developer, a reputed law firm, or an in-house legal team handling real estate matters will be preferred.
Work experience required: 6 to 8 years.
