Central University of Haryana, established at Jant-Pali in Mahendergarh district under Act No. 25 of 2009 of Parliament, has issued Employment Notice Advt. No. CUH/03/R/T/2026 dated 31.07.2026, signed by the Registrar. The notice invites online applications from Indian nationals, including overseas citizens of India, for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor through direct recruitment across nine departments and schools.
The Department of Law is one of those departments. This listing covers only the Assistant Professor (Law) vacancies advertised under this notice. Posts in the other departments named in the same advertisement, and the separate School of Basic Science advertisement CUH/02/R/T/2026 issued the same day, are not covered here.
The advertisement shows three Assistant Professor posts in the Department of Law, distributed as follows:
No Professor or Associate Professor post is advertised for Law under this notice. The scale of pay for Assistant Professor is Academic Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, and the notice records that all advertised posts carry UGC pay scales plus admissible allowances.
The university states that the posts advertised are tentative and that it reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts, and to withdraw the advertisement in part or wholly, without assigning reasons.
Qualifications and experience for the posts are governed entirely by the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018, as amended from time to time, and by AICTE / NCTE / PCI norms where applicable. The date of eligibility is the last date of the advertisement.
Assessing one's own eligibility is expressly the candidate's responsibility, and the university states that no enquiry on the point will be entertained.
Payment is accepted online only, through credit card, debit card, net banking or the payment gateway provided by the university. Fees once paid are not refunded. The one exception the notice records is that if the advertisement for a post is withdrawn by the university, the fee collected will be refunded within a reasonable period.
Applicants applying for more than one post or department must apply separately and pay the fee separately for each.
Applications are accepted in online mode only, through the recruitment portal linked from the university website. A separate application form has to be submitted for each post.
The last date for filling the online application is 31 August 2026 at 11:00 PM. No addition or modification request is considered once the form has been submitted, eligibility is decided on the information entered in the form, and incomplete applications are summarily rejected.
All correspondence from the university, including the interview call letter, is sent only to the e-mail address given by the applicant in the online form. Any addendum, corrigendum or dedendum will be posted on www.cuh.ac.in only, so applicants are advised to check the university website regularly.
The notice carries a specific instruction for earlier applicants. Candidates who applied for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in the Departments of Political Science, Economics, Law, Pharmaceutical Science, Printing and Packaging, Sociology, Statistics and Civil Engineering Technology under Advt. No. CUH/01/R/T/2025 dated 16.04.2025, and for Associate Professor in Printing and Packaging Technology under Advt. No. CUH/02/R/T/2025 dated 24.06.2025, are required to apply afresh under the present advertisement.
Such candidates may apply for a refund of the application fee paid earlier, if they wish. The university has published a refund proforma for each of the two 2025 advertisements, and the last date for submitting the refund form is also 31 August 2026.
Direct recruitment to these posts is on the basis of merit through all-India advertisement, with selections made on the recommendations of duly constituted Selection Committees.
Canvassing in any form is treated as a disqualification and leads to cancellation of candidature.
All appointments are made provisionally, subject to verification of certificates and of character and antecedents by the competent authority. The selected candidate must produce a medical fitness certificate before joining, in the form the notice prescribes for the relevant post group.
The appointee is governed by the Act, Statutes, Ordinances and Rules of the university, and by the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 and CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965 or other Government of India rules as amended, and is liable to serve anywhere within the jurisdiction of the university. The selected candidate is covered by the New Pension Scheme of the Government of India as extended by the UGC.
Suppression of facts, submission of false or fake documents or misleading information can lead to disqualification or to termination of service after appointment, and the Chief Vigilance Officer of the university is empowered to investigate such matters at any stage. In case of any dispute, suit or legal proceedings against the university, the territorial jurisdiction is the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh.
