Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (established by Madhya Pradesh Act No. 24 of 2018) has issued Advertisement No. 002/REG/2026 dated 15 July 2026, inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to teaching posts on a regular basis. Every post advertised is a reserved post. Only candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) or Economically Weaker Sections categories who are bona fide residents (domiciles) of the State of Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply against this advertisement. A candidate who is not a bona fide resident of Madhya Pradesh is not eligible for consideration, and this condition applies equally to candidates claiming the benefit of the EWS category.

Academic Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with a rationalised entry pay of Rs 57,700, along with allowances as per the rules of the University. Pay fixation shall be at the minimum of the applicable Academic Pay Level. The place of posting is Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur.

• A (i): A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned, relevant or allied subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. A relaxation of 5% is allowed at the Master's level for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
• A (ii): The candidate must also have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar accredited test such as SLET / SET. Candidates awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 are exempted from the NET / SLET / SET requirement, subject to the conditions stated in the notification for pre-11 July 2009 registrations.
• OR B: A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university or institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by QS, Times Higher Education (THE), or the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Doctorate or post-doctorate in the relevant area.

• Screening of applications on the basis of the Academic Score prescribed under Appendix II (Table 3A) of the UGC Regulations, 2018.
• Interview.
• Document verification.

The Academic Score is used for short-listing candidates for the interview only, and the selection is based solely on performance in the interview. Mere possession of the essential qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview, and the University may restrict the number of candidates called on the basis of higher qualifications or experience. No TA / DA is paid for appearing at the interview.

Applications must be submitted online only through the Recruitment Portal at https://recruitment.mpdnlu.ac.in/, accessible through the University website. Applications submitted in any other manner or through any other portal will not be accepted, and the University has cautioned candidates to remain wary of cloned or fraudulent portals. Only duly filled applications with successful payment of the prescribed fee are treated as valid, and the fee must be paid through the portal's payment gateway. Candidates serving in Government or Semi-Government organisations, PSUs, autonomous bodies or other institutions must apply through proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate with the application.

• A 33% horizontal reservation applies for women candidates under the MP Civil Services (Special Provisions for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997, and a 6% horizontal reservation applies for Persons with Disabilities under the RPwD Act, 2016.
• Caste / OBC Non-Creamy Layer / EWS Income and Asset certificates in the prescribed format must be submitted along with the application, valid as on the last date of submission. Failure to submit them makes the candidate ineligible.
• The category or reservation claim once entered in the application form is final and cannot be changed at any later stage.
• The application fee is non-refundable, including where a candidate is later found ineligible.
• Eligibility is determined on the basis of qualifications acquired up to the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
• Candidates with foreign degrees must submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
• The selected candidate is on probation for 2 years, with confirmation subject to satisfactory performance.
