Associate at Chandhiok & Mahajan, Mumbai (2-4 PQE)

Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors is hiring an Associate for its dispute resolution team in Mumbai. This is an offline, full-time role aimed at lawyers with 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience who are confident handling commercial litigation and arbitration matters with a high degree of ownership.

Chandhiok & Mahajan (formerly Chandhiok & Associates) is the culmination of its founding partners' belief in a multi-disciplinary, solution-based approach to clients' legal needs. The firm has a strong dispute resolution and arbitration practice and offices including Delhi and Mumbai.

You will join the dispute resolution team in Mumbai and work across the full life cycle of commercial litigation and arbitration. The firm is looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional who can take real ownership of matters and carry them through with professionalism.

• Work on commercial litigation and arbitration, with exposure across all stages of proceedings.
• Appear before courts, tribunals, and in arbitral proceedings.
• Independently draft pleadings, applications, and legal opinions.
• Contribute to white-collar defence and investigations matters where relevant.

This opening is best suited to dispute resolution lawyers who meet the following:

• PQE of 2 to 4 years.
• Strong experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, with exposure across all stages of proceedings.
• Demonstrated capability in appearing before courts, tribunals, and arbitral proceedings.
• Experience in white-collar defence and investigations is an advantage.
• Ability to independently draft pleadings, applications, and legal opinions.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, with attention to detail.

This is an in-office (offline) position based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
