About the Role

Societe Generale Securities India is hiring an Associate (AVP) in its Compliance department at Mumbai. The role safeguards the company against regulatory and compliance risks arising from operations related to the BSE, NSE and MCX exchanges across the cash, F&O, currency derivative and commodities segments, ensuring the business operates within the applicable regulatory and legal framework as well as Societe Generale Group policies.

The position is offered on a permanent contract with a hybrid work arrangement, and the start date is stated as immediate. The vacancy carries reference number 25000K50 and was published on the Societe Generale careers portal on 16 July 2026.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure filing of all regulatory reports in time with the exchanges, SEBI and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
  • Review circulars or guidelines issued by SEBI, the exchanges, CCP and MCA on a daily basis and ensure timely completion by coordinating with other relevant departments.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance on policies and procedures and on guidelines issued by the exchanges and SEBI.
  • Coordinate with other departments on regulatory inspections and internal audits or inspections.
  • Work with regional teams on group projects and coordinate with the regional business line on India-related market and compliance issues.
  • Prepare secretarial records in accordance with Company Law, organise Board and Committee meetings, and coordinate with the external retainer on secretarial matters.
  • Perform surveillance checks and financial crime checks.
  • Provide training to staff and perform PS controls.

Academic Background Required

  • Graduate in any field (LLB, B.A. or B.Com).
  • Company Secretary degree (Associate member) is mandatory.
  • NISM Series III-A certificate is preferred.

Experience Required

Minimum 8 years of overall work experience, with 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a compliance function, preferably with a broking firm.

Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge of SEBI and exchange rules and regulations, and of Company Law.
  • Ability to stay up to date on all regulatory amendments applicable to the company and on changes in Group policies.

  • Language skills: English.
  • Computer skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
