Overview

National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, has issued a call for applications for the position of HAL Defence Public Sector Chair at the level of Associate Professor. This is a contractual appointment for a term of five years, extendable at the University's discretion.

The role

The HAL Defence Public Sector Chair is expected to teach, research and engage in scholarship around business laws relevant to the defence sector. The remit includes areas such as:

Who can apply

You should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant discipline
  • A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years of teaching and/or research experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent
  • At least 7 peer-reviewed publications
  • A research score of 75 or more as per the UGC Regulations, 2018

Compensation & tenure

The position carries pay at Level 13A as per the VII Central Pay Commission (CPC). The specific consolidated salary figure is not stated in the official notification.
