The Centre of International Law and Allied Disciplines (CILAD) is organising a one-day hybrid international workshop, “Beyond Borders 2.0: Careers & Future Trends in International Law”, focusing on key areas of international law.
The workshop aims to provide students and professionals with insights into career opportunities in international law, developments in international trade law, and contemporary issues in International Humanitarian Law.
The event will feature subject experts joining in person and virtually. It is designed as a platform for interactive discussions, networking opportunities, and professional guidance from distinguished experts in the field.
Participants may attend either on campus or remotely over Webex. The joining link is circulated by the organisers to registered participants.
CILAD frames its work around the evolving nature of international law, including international trade law, international environmental law, refugee law and international humanitarian law, with emphasis on both academic rigour and practical engagement.
Prof. (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of IIULER, Goa, is the Chief Guest. He previously served as Vice Chancellor of NLSIU, Bangalore, for over a decade. With more than 45 years of teaching and research experience, he has authored six books, published over 130 papers and guided several doctoral candidates. He is a recipient of the Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon Best Law Teacher Award (2018) and has held key positions in academic and government bodies.
The brochure notes that more guests are to be announced.
The workshop is pitched at students and professionals seeking insight into international law careers and current developments in the field. The registration form asks for nationality, university affiliation (with an ‘N/A’ option for working professionals) and level of education, so practitioners as well as students may register. No further eligibility restriction is stated by the organisers.
Registration is through the official Google Form linked below. The brochure prescribes no registration fee and the registration form carries no payment step, so participation is free.
The last date to register is 23:59 hrs on 29 August 2026. The form asks for the participant’s name as it should appear on the certificate, gender, phone number, nationality, university affiliation and level of education.
Participants who attend all the sessions are eligible for the Workshop e-certificate. Partial attendance does not qualify.
