Białostockie Studia Prawnicze (BSP, ISSN 1689-7404, e-ISSN 2719-9452, DOI prefix 10.15290/bsp) is a quarterly law journal published by the Faculty of Law, University of Białystok, Poland, since 2006, with De Gruyter Brill as electronic publisher. Every issue is thematic and gathers articles from different branches of law around one main subject. All texts are peer reviewed, and the journal is fully open access under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence. The journal states that it is indexed in Scopus, ERIH PLUS, HeinOnline, DOAJ, CEJSH, CEEOL, the ICI Journals Master List and the Norwegian Register, and carries 140 points on the Polish Ministry list.
The issue is edited by Maciej Perkowski, Wojciech Zoń and Jakub Ali Farhan. The call notes that globalisation, technological advancement, geopolitical shifts and crises such as pandemics, climate change, cyber threats and armed conflicts have exposed gaps in existing legal frameworks and the weakness of international law in the face of violators.
The editors invite articles that identify and diagnose challenges facing contemporary international law and propose pertinent solutions. They anticipate doctrinal, institutional and procedural analyses, and given the 2027 publication schedule they welcome work on both enduring issues and entirely new challenges that may emerge by the submission deadline, oriented towards strengthening the resilience of international law in a multipolar world.
The call is an open invitation from the Editorial Board and states no restriction by country or institution. The journal describes itself as a Polish law journal with an international profile whose authors include theorists and practitioners from Poland and abroad, so Indian authors may submit. Articles are accepted in English or Polish.
After a preliminary editorial check (anonymisation, plagiarism and formatting), articles go through double-blind peer review by reviewers holding at least a doctorate and affiliated with a different institution from the author. Articles are published after two positive reviews, and each issue carries at most 15 articles.
The journal states that no fees are charged to authors for submitting a text, for the editorial process, or for approval and publication.
Submit the article only through the journal's Editorial Manager system by the end of December 2026. Publication of the issue is planned by the end of September 2027.
