The Centre for Competition and Consumer Protection Law (CCCPL) is an academic centre at the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, working on research, writing and dialogue in competition law and consumer protection. Alongside its Competition Law Encyclopedia, the Baazar & Beyond podcast and its Case Lens series, the Centre runs a blog carrying commentary on competition law, consumer protection and the regulation of digital markets, written by students, scholars and practitioners from across the country.
The Centre is chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Jai Shankar Singh, Vice-Chancellor of RGNUL, with Prof. (Dr.) Naresh Vats, Dean Academics, as Faculty Coordinator, and Dr. Ankit Srivastava and Dr. Ishita Sharma as Faculty Co-Coordinators.
The blog is open to contemporary and emerging questions across the Centre's areas of work. Posts already published on the blog fall under the following heads, which indicate the scope the Editorial Board is looking for:
Submissions are welcome from students, academics and practitioners. Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.
All references must appear as hyperlinks in the body of the submission, with links provided to supporting materials and legal texts. Where required, authors may occasionally use footnotes in OSCOLA style.
Submissions must be the original work of the author. Every manuscript is checked for plagiarism by the Editorial Board and a similarity index of 12 per cent is strictly adhered to. Offensive, abusive, derogatory or potentially defamatory submissions are rejected. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the facts, opinions and views stated in the manuscript.
Once the Editorial Board receives an article it goes through a rigorous editorial process, and the decision on acceptance or rejection is communicated to the author within 10 to 12 days. In unforeseen circumstances this may extend to 15 days, which the Board will communicate to the author.
The Board reserves the right to add links to relevant sources and to make editorial changes where required, without altering the content of the submission.
There is no submission fee and no publication charge. The official submission guidelines state no fee of any kind.
Submissions are on a rolling basis with no closing date. They must only be made by filling out the Centre's Google Form linked below; submissions made through any other medium will be rejected. Adhering to all the submission guidelines is mandatory. The form is hosted on Google Forms and requires the author to be signed in to a Google account.
