About the Blog

The Constitutional Law Society (CLS) of The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata, invites submissions for its blog on a rolling basis. The blog serves as a platform for rigorous, accessible writing on contemporary developments in constitutional law and their intersections with other disciplines.

Theme and Scope

Contributions are welcomed on contemporary developments in Indian constitutional law and its intersection with other disciplines. Cross-jurisdictional and comparative analysis is strongly encouraged, and submissions dealing with foreign jurisdictions may be considered in exceptional cases. The blog also features informative posts reviewing upcoming petitions and developments before the courts.

Categories and Word Limits

  • Articles & Discussions: 1,500 to 2,000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Court Watch: up to 1,000 words (excluding footnotes)

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors.
  • References must use embedded hyperlinks within the text. Footnotes should be used only where hyperlinking is impractical, and must follow the NUJS Law Review citation standard.
  • Suggested formatting: Times New Roman, 12 point font, 1.5 line spacing.

How to Submit

All submissions must be made through the official Google Form. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, with no submission fee. For queries, contact the CLS editorial team by email.
