The Global Business Law Review (GBLR) is the flagship publication of the Student Chapter for Corporate Law and Practice (SCCLP) at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. It runs as a structured online repository for writing on corporate and allied areas of business law, and carries scholarly articles, expert commentary and interviews with practitioners alongside its student contributions.
SCCLP itself is a student-led collective at JGLS that connects students with industry professionals and runs research-driven initiatives in corporate and commercial law. GBLR is its publishing arm.
GBLR is open to students, academics and professionals alike. There is no restriction to Jindal students, and no year-of-study bar is stated. Co-authorship is permitted up to two authors on a single piece.
The blog invites submissions that engage critically with developments in corporate and commercial law. Pieces should be relevant to current legal or policy debates rather than purely descriptive.
Recently published work on the blog gives a fair sense of the range the editors accept, covering areas such as:
All submissions are anonymised before being sent for review, and each article is assessed by the editorial team on quality, structure and substantive merit. The standard review period is two weeks, subject to the editorial schedule. Authors may be asked to make specific revisions before a final decision is taken, and constructive editorial feedback is provided for every article submitted.
Decisions fall into three categories: accepted and ready for publication; conditionally accepted, requiring revisions based on editor feedback; or rejected, where the piece does not meet editorial standards or falls outside GBLR's thematic scope.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to make limited stylistic or formatting edits for consistency and readability, without altering the author's substantive arguments.
There is no submission fee, processing fee or publication fee. The official contribution page states no charge of any kind for authors.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, so there is no closing date. Email your piece to scclp@jgu.edu.in along with your name, year of study where applicable, and your institutional or professional affiliation. Read the full contribution guidelines on the GBLR Contribute page before sending your draft.
