Call for Papers: 2nd Corporate Law Summit 2026 at Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur [Virtual, 21-22 November]

Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur was established in 2018 by the Madhya Pradesh National University Act, 24 of 2018, with the objective of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence as a university imparting value-based legal education. The university emphasises learning advocacy skills with professional ethics through suitable simulation exercises. Its stated vision is to impart and disseminate knowledge of the law and to promote a culture of research that develops and advances legal education, alongside specialised and systematic instruction and training for law students, research scholars, and officers performing administrative and quasi-administrative functions.

The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance is DNLU's dedicated research centre on corporate law and governance. Its brochure notes that corporate law and corporate law scholarship have grown tremendously in the recent era, that India has a plethora of laws governing corporate entities along with various regulators and agencies controlling their activities, and that these laws and regulatory bodies are constantly working towards ensuring ease of doing business while keeping in check the unscrupulous activities of corporate entities. The Centre aims to act as a multidisciplinary forum for research, analysis and discussion of issues in corporate law and governance emerging in India and around the world.

The Centre for Corporate Laws and Governance, DNLU Jabalpur, is organising the 2nd Corporate Law Summit 2026 on 21 and 22 November 2026 in virtual mode. The Summit brings together scholars, practitioners, policymakers and students to present research, exchange insights and engage with pressing legal challenges. Through panels, case studies and interactive sessions, it will explore innovations in the IBC (Amendment) Act, 2026, CIRP, PIRP and allied areas of corporate and insolvency law.

The Summit is built around two components:

• Paper presentation - the inaugural session includes a dedicated segment for paper presentations, giving law students, invited authors, academicians, practising lawyers and subject-matter experts the opportunity to share original research. Submissions are invited on the diverse dimensions of the IBC (Amendment) Act, 2026, CIRP, PIRP and related fields, with the aim of deepening discourse on practical, doctrinal and policy challenges.
• Panel discussion - a panel bringing together experts from industry, academia, legal practice and policy to examine the key reforms introduced by the IBC (Amendment) Act, 2026, their practical implications and the challenges likely to arise in implementation. The discussion will explore how the evolving framework can balance speedy resolution, creditor protection, value maximisation and the interests of corporate debtors and other stakeholders.

The Summit is open to students, academicians and legal professionals.

• Up to 1 co-author is allowed.
• Cross-authorship from different institutions is also allowed.

Abstracts of 300-400 words along with 5 keywords must be submitted through the official Google Form. Selected abstracts will be intimated to the author(s), after which the full paper is due.

• Submissions are to be made in MS Word as well as PDF format through the provided Google Form.
• The paper must be an original, unpublished work of the participants.
• Word limit for the full paper: 4,000-6,000 words, including citations.
• Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified alignment.
• Headings and sub-headings must be appropriately numbered.
• Referencing style: The Bluebook - A Uniform System of Citation (2015, 20th ed.).
• Any submission found to be plagiarised beyond 10% shall be disqualified from the competition.
• Use of AI is strictly prohibited.
• Copyright of the submission shall remain with CCLG, DNLU.

• UG/PG students: Rs 1,500
• Professional academicians and others: Rs 2,000

The brochure states that payment details will be sent by email to those whose abstracts are selected. The last date of registration is 30 September 2026.

Papers will be judged on the basis of:

• Originality and innovation
• Depth of research and analysis
• Clarity and structure: argumentative strength
• Adherence to formatting and citation standards

Submit the abstract of 300-400 words with 5 keywords, in both PDF and Word format, through the official abstract submission form hosted on DNLU's own Google Workspace. The form asks for the name, email, contact number, designation and institution of the author and of the co-author, if any. The last date for abstract submission is 20 September 2026.
