Call for Papers: 2nd International Conference on Revisiting Criminal Laws: Protection of Women in the Digital Era at ICFAI Law School, Jaipur [Offline; 20-21 Nov; Cash Awards Rs 10,000]

The ICFAI University, Jaipur was established under the ICFAI University, Jaipur Act 2011, passed by the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan. ICFAI Law School, a constituent of the University, was set up in 2015 and offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. programmes.

The conference is organised by the Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology (CCLC) of ICFAI Law School, a forum for discussion on criminal law and criminology. Its focus areas are criminal justice policy and practice, the rule of law in the administration of criminal justice, and reform of substantive and procedural criminal law.

The 2nd International Conference on Revisiting Criminal Laws: Protection of Women in the Digital Era will be held offline, on campus, at The ICFAI University, Jaipur on 20 and 21 November 2026.

New technology has produced new forms of crime against women, and the conference asks whether existing criminal laws, policies and enforcement mechanisms are keeping up. Through keynote addresses and paper presentations, academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, law enforcement officials, technology experts and civil society organisations will discuss cybercrimes against women, digital evidence, online safety, artificial intelligence, victim protection and criminal justice reform.

The brochure lists resource persons from West Ukrainian National University (Ukraine), the University of Pisa (Italy), Leeds Trinity University (United Kingdom) and Politics4Her (Paris), among others.

The sub-themes are suggestive, not exhaustive. Papers may fall anywhere within the broad area of the conference.

• Abstract: 250 to 300 words, with 5 to 7 keywords.
• Full paper: 4,000 to 5,000 words, inclusive of all citations, references and footnotes.
• Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12, A4 paper, 1-inch margins on all sides, 1.5 line spacing.
• Citation: The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, 20th Edition.
• File format: MS Word.
• Originality: Work must be original and unpublished. The similarity index of the full paper must not exceed 10%, excluding properly cited quotations, references and bibliographical material. Plagiarised submissions will be rejected.
• Hard copy: Bring a hard copy of the abstract and full paper on the day of the conference.

All abstracts and full papers go through a review process, and presentations are selected after blind peer review. Presenters present before a panel of experts who judge the presentations. Any suitable means of presentation, including audio-visual aids and PowerPoint, may be used.

At least one author of each accepted paper must register for and present the paper at the conference; with co-authors, at least one must attend in person. A certificate of presentation is issued to registered participants, and every participant receives a certificate of participation.

Selected full papers, on the review committee's recommendation and subject to the publication guidelines, may be considered for publication in an edited book, conference proceedings or another suitable platform. The organisers say further publication details will be shared separately, and the committee may make editorial corrections to language, formatting, style and citation before publication.

The registration fee is non-refundable. Delegates must bring original ID proof to the conference.

High tea on 20 November and lunch on 21 November 2026 will be provided to all participants on The ICFAI University, Jaipur campus. Accommodation and transport are not provided, but the organisers will assist if requested.

Submit your abstract through the official Google Form by 21 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Submitting the abstract counts as provisional registration, and the names of all co-authors must be entered in the form.

If your abstract is accepted, the Google Form link for the full paper will be sent with the acceptance email. The full paper (soft copy) is due by 4 November 2026, 11:59 PM IST.
