Call for Papers: DSNLU Journal of Science, Technology & Law, Volume 4 Issue 2 (ISSN 2583-1208) [Abstracts by 24 October 2026]

The Centre for IPR and Technology (CIPR&T) of Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU), Visakhapatnam invites articles for Volume 4, Issue 2 of the DSNLU Journal of Science, Technology & Law. The journal is published by CIPR&T, bears ISSN 2583-1208, and is a peer-reviewed, double-blind and open-access journal focused on intellectual property and technology law.

DSNLU is a National Law University at Sabbavaram, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, constituted under the DSNLU Act, 2008. CIPR&T works to bring together academia, practitioners and researchers in the field of intellectual property rights and technology law.

The journal solicits high-quality articles on intellectual property law and technology law, including:

• IPR and the Role of Commercial Courts

The journal accepts original and unpublished submissions from academicians, professionals, research scholars and students. A maximum of two authors (one author and one co-author) is permitted. Co-authorship is not allowed for Legislative Comments.

• Long Articles (5,000 to 8,000 words): a comprehensive, in-depth analysis of contemporary problems and ideas relating to IPR, identifying gaps in the existing position and offering alternatives and suggestions with a range of sources.
• Short Articles (3,000 to 5,000 words): a rigorous analysis of contemporary IPR problems and ideas, ideally identifying gaps and proposing solutions.
• Legislative Comment (2,000 to 3,000 words): an analysis of a recent legislative instrument, its objective and its expected legal impact.
• Case Comment (2,000 to 3,000 words): an analysis of a recent judicial precedent covering the facts, issues, ratio decidendi, obiter dicta and its legal impact or critique.

• Send the manuscript with a cover letter in a separate document giving, for each author and co-author, the name, affiliation or academic qualification, contact number and email address, and postal address.
• The manuscript must not contain the name or affiliation of any author.
• The first page of the submission must be an abstract of not more than 300 words, with five keywords.
• Similarity must not exceed 15%.
• Title the manuscript file as [Your Name & Category of Submission], for example "CIPR & Long Article".

• Body text: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
• Article title: Times New Roman, size 16, all caps.
• Main headings: Times New Roman, size 14, numbered in Roman numerals. Subheadings: Times New Roman, size 12, numbered in general numbers.
• Citations as footnotes, following The Bluebook (21st edition). Footnotes and references in Times New Roman, size 10, single spacing.
• The journal states that submissions not complying with the formatting guidelines will be rejected outright.

The official call does not mention any submission or publication fee. The journal is open access.

All submissions are to be made electronically as an MS Word (.doc) file through the journal's Google Form. The form link is not printed in the published call or on the journal's submission guidelines page, so write to ipr@dsnlu.ac.in to obtain it if you cannot locate it. Abstracts are due by 24 October 2026; authors whose abstracts are selected submit the full paper by 2 January 2027.
