Call for Papers: FSU International Research Convention (FIRCON) 2026 at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia [Nov 10-12; Hybrid; Scopus Publication Opportunities]

The FSU International Research Convention (FIRCON) 2026 is the inaugural research convention organised by the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). It brings three established faculty conferences under one integrated platform, held together from 10 to 12 November 2026 at the Faculty of Syariah and Law in Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

• 3rd International Seminar on Syariah and Law (INSLA 2026) - physical
• 4th CFORSJ International Conference on Syariah, Law and Science (4th CFORSJ i-CONF 2026) - online

The convention theme is "Advancing Syariah and Law Through Research and Global Collaboration for a Sustainable Future". FSU positions it as a flagship platform for researchers, postgraduate students, academics and strategic partners working across Syariah, law, halal studies and related multidisciplinary fields.

INPAC 2026 runs on the theme "Advancing Syariah and Law in Addressing Contemporary Challenges: Promoting Justice, Good Governance, and Sustainable Development" across eight tracks.

• Syariah, Law and Justice - Islamic jurisprudence, legal theory and philosophy, comparative law and legal reform, rule of law and access to justice, judicial administration and dispute resolution
• Syariah, Law and Governance - constitutional, administrative and public law, Syariah governance, public policy and law reform, integrity and anti-corruption
• Syariah, Law and Family, Society and Human Development - Islamic family law, rights of women and children, social welfare, human rights and vulnerable populations, ADR
• Syariah, Law, Business and Philanthropy - Islamic finance and commercial law, halal governance, zakat, waqf and sadaqah, corporate governance and business ethics
• Syariah, Law and Digital Transformation - artificial intelligence, cyber law and cybersecurity, data protection and digital rights, FinTech, legal technology
• Syariah, Law and Sustainable Development - Maqasid al-Shariah and ESG, environmental law and climate change, land and water governance, SDGs, food security, disaster risk management
• Syariah, Law and Global Challenges - international law and global governance, human dignity, refugees and statelessness, peacebuilding, comparative legal systems
• Syariah, Law, Health and Future Society - medical law and bioethics, public and mental health, legal education and professional ethics, emerging issues in law and society

INSLA 2026 runs on the theme "Shaping the Future of Syariah and Law: Governance, Justice and Sustainable Development" with six tracks: contemporary Syariah and legal studies; governance, justice and public policy; society, family and human development; Islamic economy, business and philanthropy; digital society and emerging legal issues; and global challenges and sustainable development.

The 4th CFORSJ i-CONF 2026 runs on the theme "Synergizing Syariah, Law and Science Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Era of Digital Reform" with seven tracks: Shariah, law and digital governance; halal industry, science and sustainability; Islamic finance and economic sustainability; forensic science, fiqh and justice; law, policy and environmental sustainability; education, human capital and global collaboration; and health, society and digital ethics.

The call for papers is addressed to scholars, researchers, government regulators and corporations, alongside postgraduate students and academics. The convention is explicitly international and carries separate registration categories for non-USIM international participants, so scholars based in India are eligible to submit and present.

All accepted papers presented at FIRCON 2026 are published in the FSU Proceedings. Selected outstanding articles that meet the publication requirements are considered for Scopus-indexed and reputable refereed journals, subject to the peer review process and editorial guidelines of each journal.

Placement in any of these journals is not automatic. It follows each journal's own review and editorial decision.

Fees differ by constituent conference and by participant category, as published on the official conference fee page.

• INPAC 2026 (physical): MYR 180 for USIM, MYR 300 for non-USIM Malaysian, USD 80 for non-USIM international
• INSLA 2026 (physical): MYR 250 for FSU USIM, MYR 350 for non-FSU USIM, MYR 400 for non-USIM Malaysian, USD 150 for non-USIM international
• 4th CFORSJ i-CONF 2026 (online): MYR 200 for FSU USIM, MYR 250 for non-FSU USIM, MYR 300 for non-USIM Malaysian, USD 80 for non-USIM international
• FIRCON 2026 participation only (physical): MYR 69 for USIM, MYR 99 for non-USIM

Payment is accepted by bank transfer or foreign telegraphic transfer to Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia at Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, or through the ConfBay online payment gateway. Online or card payment attracts a 5 percent administrative fee that is not included in the official conference receipt. Proof of payment must be uploaded in the ConfBay system under My Payment.

Registration and full paper submission are handled electronically through the ConfBay submission system.

• Create a ConfBay account through the Registration menu and log in to complete conference registration.
• Submit the abstract and full paper through the Online Submission menu.
• Abstracts and full papers must strictly follow the official template available under the Download menu of the conference portal.
• Submit the full paper on or before 10 September 2026, then the camera-ready paper by 10 October 2026.
