The HPNLU Journal of Disability Studies (ISSN: 3108-110X) is an annual, blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Centre for Human Rights and Disability Studies at Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla. Among National Law School journals in India, it is the first of its kind devoted exclusively to disability laws and related jurisprudence.
The Journal invites scholarly contributions from academicians, scholars, professionals, and policymakers for its Volume III (2026). It solicits work relating to legal as well as other developments in the field of disability laws and related jurisprudence, accepting theoretical, qualitative, and quantitative ideas through a multidisciplinary approach spanning legal, socio-economic, socio-legal, sociological, historical, political, psychological, gender and sexuality, feminist, and other perspectives.
Send the manuscript in MS Word (.docx) format to editorjds@hpnlu.ac.in with the subject line "Submission to HPNLU-JDS-V3 <Title of Contribution>". Submissions must be sent on or before July 15, 2026, via email only. A covering letter with the paper title, author name, designation, institutional affiliation, and a declaration of originality must accompany the manuscript.
There is no submission or publication fee for the HPNLU Journal of Disability Studies. Copyright in all published articles vests in HPNLU, Shimla.
