About the IILM Law Journal and the organiser

IILM Law Journal (ISSN No. 2583-8806) is the bi-annual peer reviewed journal of the School of Law, IILM University, Greater Noida. It encourages interdisciplinary writing on contemporary issues across Law, Sociology, Political Science, Technology, Public Policy and Economics. Issues are published in English as PDFs on the journal page; the archive runs from Vol. I Issue 1 to the current Vol. IV Issue 1, along with an IPR Special Issue.

The Editor is Prof. M. Afzal Wani, Dean, School of Law, IILM University, with Mr. Rachit Sharma as Assistant Editor and Ms. Bhavana Dhoundiyal as Editorial Assistant. The Advisory Board includes Hon'ble Justice R.K. Gauba (former Judge, High Court of Delhi) and Justice Zaki Ullah Khan (former Judge, Allahabad High Court).

IILM has offered management education since 1993 and expanded into law in 2018; the School of Law runs five-year BBA LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons) programmes, a three-year LLB, a one-year LLM and a Ph.D. programme. The campus is at 16-18, Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201306.

Call for Papers: Vol. IV Issue 2

The journal invites academicians, scholars, professionals and policy makers to submit articles, notes, comments, reports and book reviews on contemporary legal issues, along with possible socio-economic solutions, for publication in Vol. IV Issue 2 (the forthcoming second issue of Volume IV).

Theme

There is no specific theme. The submission must be the original work of the writer(s). Critical analysis of any contemporary legal issue along with possible socio-economic solutions will be given preference.

Eligibility and co-authorship

  • Open to academicians, scholars, professionals and policy makers.
  • A maximum of two co-authors is allowed in one submission.
  • The paper must be the original and unpublished work of the author(s). Plagiarism above 10 percent attracts immediate disqualification.
  • Authors must inform the Editorial Board if they have submitted the manuscript to another law journal and if they have received an acceptance for publication.

Submission guidelines

  • Language: English only.
  • Abstract: the Call for Papers PDF asks for a maximum 300-word abstract along with the final paper, while the journal page on the IILM website says a maximum of 250 words. Authors who want to be safe should stay within 250 words.
  • Keywords: the sample template in the PDF asks for 4 to 5 keywords.
  • Formatting: typewritten, Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified alignment (the title and the abstract caption are centrally aligned). All pages numbered. The title is in bold, 14 point; author names in bold italics with designation and institution in footnotes.
  • Citations: strictly in conformity with the 21st edition of the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.
  • File format: .doc or .docx only, submitted electronically.
  • The manuscript must be anonymised: no biographical information or references, including author name(s), affiliation(s) and acknowledgements, in the text, the file name or the document properties.
  • A sample paper template (title, abstract, keywords, introduction, content, conclusion) is on the last page of the Call for Papers PDF.

Documents to accompany the manuscript

  • A cover letter with the name(s) of the author(s), designation, institution or affiliation, the title of the manuscript and contact information (correspondence address, email id, phone number).
  • A declaration that the manuscript is a piece of original and bona fide research work and has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

Fee

Neither the Call for Papers PDF nor the journal page mentions any submission or publication fee. Authors who need confirmation may write to querieslj@iilm.edu before submitting.

How to submit

Email the manuscript (.doc or .docx), together with the cover letter and the declaration, to iilmulj@iilm.edu. The last date for reception of the final manuscript along with the abstract is 29 November 2026. Publication of the issue is expected by December 2026 or January 2027.
