Mar Gregorios College of Law, Thiruvananthapuram, through its IQAC, Centre for Human Rights and Centre for Women and Law, is organising a three-day International Conference on Digital Threats and Gender Justice: Rethinking Cybersafety and Enforcement Mechanisms in Cyberspace, from 11 to 13 November 2026 in hybrid mode, at the college in Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram.
The conference is organised in association with the Kerala State Human Rights Commission, Cyber Operations Kerala Police, the International Institute of Justice and Police Sciences (IIJPS), Bengaluru, and the South Asian Society of Criminology and Victimology (SASCV).
The concept note observes that women face cyberstalking, harassment, non-consensual intimate images, deepfakes and sextortion, while delayed complaints, limited forensic capacity, weak platform cooperation and jurisdictional hurdles hamper redress. The conference examines online victimisation of women as a human rights concern, assesses legal and enforcement gaps, and promotes victim-centred, collaborative responses among academia, police, human rights bodies and civil society.
Mar Gregorios College of Law, established in 2012, is affiliated to the University of Kerala and approved by the Bar Council of India.
