Innovative Institute of Law, Greater Noida, in collaboration with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), is holding a one-day International Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights: Navigating Privacy, Accountability, and Digital Governance in a Globalized World on 12 September 2026 in hybrid mode.
The organisers note that the swift progress of Generative AI is reshaping how societies create, communicate, govern and make decisions, and that its integration into daily life raises critical concerns about privacy, accountability, transparency, equality and freedom of expression. Training AI systems on large datasets challenges traditional notions of consent, data ownership and information privacy, while deepfakes, algorithmic bias, misinformation and automated surveillance pose risks to democratic institutions and fundamental rights. The conference is designed as an interdisciplinary platform for scholars, policymakers, legal professionals, researchers and civil society members to discuss these challenges and develop ethical, inclusive and accountable AI governance frameworks.
