Call for Papers: National Conference on Fintech Law and Tax Regulation: Emerging Jurisprudence in the Digital Economy [Hybrid, Chennai, 24 October 2026]

Saveetha School of Law (SSL), Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), is organising a one-day hybrid National Conference on “Fintech Law and Tax Regulation: Emerging Jurisprudence in the Digital Economy” on 24 October 2026 at the Heritage Guild, SSL. The conference carries the tagline “Digitalize. Govern. Evolve. Transforming Finance, Advancing Justice.”

The conference is a multidisciplinary academic platform on the meeting point of financial technology, legal frameworks and taxation in the digital economy. With digital payments, cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence and new financial services reshaping traditional finance, it will examine the regulatory, legal and tax challenges that follow, along with emerging jurisprudence, consumer protection, data privacy, financial inclusion and tax compliance in the fintech ecosystem.

Saveetha School of Law was established in 2009 under SIMATS. The brochure states that it is ranked 19th among law institutions in NIRF 2023 and first in Tamil Nadu, holds NAAC A++ accreditation, and is recognised by the Bar Council of India and approved by the UGC.

Registration is open to undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and academicians and professionals, both as paper presenters and as participants who attend without presenting. Only one co-author is permitted per paper.

• Abstract: 200 to 300 words, Times New Roman 12 pt, centred alignment, 1 inch margins on all sides. Include the title, author(s), affiliation and contact information.
• Full paper: 2,000 to 3,000 words, Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
• Structure: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Results/Analysis, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
• Citation: Bluebook (21st edition) or APA, as footnotes.
• File format: .doc or .docx.
• Publication: selected papers will be peer reviewed and then published in an ISBN-assigned publication.

• Presentations should run 5 to 7 minutes. Going over time may lead to a deduction of marks at the judge’s discretion.
• Keep slides clear, concise and focused on key points.
• Presentations and papers must be free of obscene or inappropriate content.

Paper presenters:

• Undergraduates: Rs 300
• Postgraduates: Rs 400
• Academicians and professionals: Rs 500
• Co-author (maximum one): Rs 100

Participants (attending without a paper):

• Undergraduates: Rs 150
• Postgraduates: Rs 250
• Academicians and professionals: Rs 350

Payment is made through the QR code printed in the official brochure.

Paper presenters register through the presenters’ Google Form, and attendees through the participants’ Google Form. Both forms require a Google sign-in. The abstract, the PPT and the full paper are to be emailed to fintechconference.ssl@gmail.com. Abstracts are due by 15 October 2026 and full papers by 22 October 2026.
