About the conference

The Legal Aid Clinic & Pro-Bono Club, School of Law, Justice & Governance, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, in collaboration with Jotwani Associates, New Delhi, is organising a National Conference on "Intellectual Property Rights: Innovation, Access and Society" on 20 November 2026 (Friday) in hybrid mode.

The conference seeks to provide a multidisciplinary platform for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, innovators, industry professionals and students to deliberate on the relationship between IPR and innovation (including Artificial Intelligence, biotechnology and digital technologies), equitable access to knowledge, medicines, technology and educational resources, and the wider social implications of intellectual property protection, with attention to the balance between private IP rights and the public interest.

Jotwani Associates is a New Delhi-based law firm specialising in Intellectual Property Rights, Corporate Laws, Litigation, Cyber Laws and Government Relations & Policy.

Submission guidelines

  • Abstract of 300-500 words, including objectives, methodology, data sources and keywords.
  • Submissions must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism should be below 10%, and no Artificial Intelligence written content will be accepted.
  • Abstract typed in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12-point, 1.5-line spacing.
  • Abstracts are to be submitted with the registration form.
  • Each paper should have a cover page with the title of the paper, name of the author, institution, email id and phone number.
  • The full paper is to be submitted via the Google Form.

Registration fee

  • GBU UG & PG Students: Rs 200
  • All Research Scholars / Other UG and PG Students: Rs 300
  • All Faculty Members and other professionals: Rs 500

The fee is non-refundable and includes a conference kit, high tea, lunch and a participation/presentation certificate. It does not include accommodation. The fee is paid by bank transfer to Gautam Buddha University; bank details are in the official brochure.

Mode of presentation and accommodation

Abstracts may be presented physically or online, in accordance with the hybrid format of the conference. Accommodation may be available at the university's National Guest House on a chargeable basis, subject to room availability; participants book and pay directly.

How to apply

First deposit the registration fee into the university account given in the official brochure, then complete the official Google Form registration and upload a soft copy or screenshot of the payment details along with your abstract. No other mode of registration will be accepted. The last date for abstract submission and registration is 31 October 2026.
