The themed issue is led by an international panel of guest editors:

The call is interdisciplinary and welcomes submissions from scholars and practitioners across law, social science, ethics, computer science, engineering, public policy, and science and technology studies (STS).
Multiple article types are accepted; authors should consult the journal's full author instructions for word limits and formatting. An accessible writing style suited to an interdisciplinary audience is encouraged. All submissions undergo peer review for content and style, and authors must declare funding sources and competing interests. Accepted articles are published digitally in open access format.
The journal is gold open access, so an article processing charge (APC) ordinarily applies. Cambridge University Press funds full APC waivers for corresponding authors based in 100+ low- and middle-income countries (including India) through the Cambridge Open Equity Initiative, with eligibility established automatically during publication. Any corresponding author of a research article not otherwise covered may request a discount or full waiver after editorial acceptance.
