CCADR Journal for Alternate Dispute Resolution, Volume I (Inaugural Issue) [Double-Blind Peer Reviewed; Abstracts by 15 October 2026]

The CCADR Journal for Alternate Dispute Resolution is an academic publication of the Chanakya Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CCADR), Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna. The Journal seeks to provide a scholarly platform for research, analysis and critical discourse on contemporary developments in ADR.

CCADR now invites abstracts for Volume I, the inaugural volume of the Journal. The Journal encourages contributions addressing significant legal and practical developments in mediation and arbitration, including international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, finality of awards, regulatory developments and technology-driven dispute resolution.

The theme of Volume I is “Navigating the Expanding Role of Mediation and Arbitration in Dispute Resolution”. The indicative sub-themes are:

• International Commercial Arbitration
• Investment Arbitration
• Finality of Awards
• Policy and Regulatory Developments in Mediation
• Technology, AI and Online Dispute Resolution

The sub-themes are indicative and non-exhaustive. Submissions addressing related or emerging issues within the broader scope of the Journal are also welcome.

• Long Articles: 6,000 to 8,000 words.
• Short Articles: 3,000 to 6,000 words.
• Case Comments / Book Reviews: 1,500 to 2,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
• Each manuscript may have a maximum of two authors. Co-authorship beyond two authors is not permitted.
• The manuscript must contain an abstract of 250 to 500 words in italics, along with five keywords.
• A final manuscript will be considered only if the corresponding abstract has been selected.

• Citations must conform to the Bluebook (21st edition).
• The manuscript must not mention the author's name, affiliation or credentials. These go on a separate cover page carrying a brief biographical note with the author's name, affiliation, qualifications and contact details.
• Submit the manuscript as a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) document, with the language setting in English.
• Main text in Times New Roman, size 12, justified, 1.15 line spacing; footnotes in Times New Roman, size 10, left-aligned, 1.15 line spacing.
• A4 page size with 2.54 cm margins on all sides; page numbers at the bottom centre in Times New Roman, size 11.
• Headings numbered I., II., III.; sub-headings A., B., C.; tertiary headings i., ii., iii.
• Punctuation stays within double quotation marks; numbers one to nine in words and above ten in numerals; dates in the Month DD, YYYY format (for example, January 1, 2026).
• Abbreviations are defined at first use, in bold, in square brackets within double quotation marks (for example, [“ABC”]), and used consistently thereafter.
• Hyperlinks must be in black text (not blue or underlined), and all hyperlinks and citations must be functional and verified at the time of submission.

CCADR follows a double-blind review procedure, and every manuscript passes through three tiers of review:

• Preliminary Review: compliance with the submission and formatting guidelines, including word count, plagiarism and AI-usage limits.
• Blind Editorial Review: the Editors assess originality, structure, substantive quality, citations and language.
• External Peer Review: shortlisted manuscripts go to external reviewers with relevant expertise; the final decision rests with the Editorial Board.

CCADR may refer certain manuscripts to its Board of Advisors. Manuscripts may be accepted outright, accepted with changes or rejected; where changes are sought, authors must revise and resend within the stipulated time. CCADR does not give advance decisions on abstracts, topic proposals or outlines, and editorial decisions rest solely on the final manuscript. On publication, the work becomes the property of CCADR, and permission for any subsequent publication, reprint or derivative work must be obtained from CCADR.

The acceptable limit of plagiarism is 15% (excluding citations), and that for AI usage is 10%. Manuscripts with plagiarism between 15% and 20% are subject to the discretion of the Editorial Board. AI usage between 10% and 20% is considered on the basis of a detailed AI disclosure undertaking, stating the purpose for which AI was used, and at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

The official call does not prescribe any submission or publication fee.

Submit the abstract (250 to 500 words, with five keywords) through the official Google Form by 11:59 p.m. on October 15, 2026. Authors whose abstracts are selected will be invited to submit the full paper. The Google Form requires a Google sign-in.

Abstract acceptances will be notified by October 25, 2026, and final manuscripts are due by November 30, 2026. Publication of Volume I is tentatively scheduled for March 2027, and the date may change depending on the publishing schedule of the publishing house.
