The Centre for Environmental Law, Advocacy and Research (CELAR) at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA) invites you to contribute to the CELAR Blog. The blog is a space for fresh writing and analysis on contemporary issues in environmental law and its connected fields, and it welcomes pieces that engage with emerging conflicts, recent cases, legislative developments, and evolving legal landscapes around the environment.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, so you can send in your piece whenever it is ready. If you care about environmental law and want a peer-reviewed platform from a premier law school in North-East India to get your work read, this is a welcoming place to start.
The Government of Assam established the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA) in 2009. It makes modern legal education and research facilities available to students and scholars drawn from across the country, including the North East, from different socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds.
The Centre for Environmental Law, Advocacy and Research (CELAR) is the first centre of its kind in North-East India, devoted to strengthening and contributing to the jurisprudence on environmental law under the auspices of NLUJAA. CELAR aims to be a torchbearer of the University's mission to translate legal knowledge and skills into an instrument that addresses the country's environmental concerns, with a special focus on the North-Eastern region of India.
Authors may choose to write on specific aspects of the following broad themes. These are only suggestions, and you are free to write on any topic that falls within the scope of the CELAR Blog.
The call is open to anyone interested in environmental law who wants to contribute a well-researched, original piece. Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
Please follow these formatting requirements carefully, as adherence is mandatory.
