Central University of Karnataka Journal of Legal Studies (CUKJLS), Vol. 1 Issue II

The Central University of Karnataka Journal of Legal Studies (CUKJLS) is a biannual, international, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Central University of Karnataka, a central university established by an Act of Parliament. The journal is dedicated to advancing discourse in law and allied disciplines, with a primary focus on contemporary legal issues while also welcoming interdisciplinary research that establishes clear connections with legal institutions, instruments, and frameworks.

The journal invites original, unpublished manuscripts for Volume 1, Issue II (2026). Submissions are accepted across the following categories with the indicated minimum word counts:

• Research Papers: 5,000 words
• Legislative Analysis: 2,000 words
• Case Commentaries: 1,500 words
• Book / Article Reviews: 1,500 words

The journal accepts research on any topic connected to contemporary legal affairs, including legal institutions, theories of jurisprudence, interdisciplinary studies incorporating legal interpretation, and studies addressing international or national events with potential legal impact.

Open to all interested authors who possess knowledge of, or intend to deal with, a topic of law. There are no minimum age or qualification requirements, provided authors maintain academic integrity standards. Co-authorship is permitted up to two authors (a maximum of three is allowed in exceptional cases).

Each manuscript must include an abstract of 150 to 250 words with 4 to 6 keywords, highlighting the novelty and conclusions of the work. Manuscripts must be anonymised (no author details in the body), and a separate cover letter must include the author's name, designation, institution, email, and phone number(s).

• Format: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
• Citation style: APA.
• File type: Word (.doc / .docx) only; PDFs will not be accepted.
• A signed declaration form must accompany the submission.

No submission or publication fee is stated by the journal. The journal is open access and freely available to readers.
