The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru was established in 1987 to be a pioneer in legal education in India. Over the last three decades the University has evolved into an innovative leader in law, social sciences, humanities and public policy education and research. NLSIU has been ranked first among law universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the last eight years.
The University has issued Notification No. 08/2026 dated 21 July 2026, inviting online applications for one position of Chief of Staff in the Office of the Vice Chancellor. This is a full-time position based out of the NLSIU campus at Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru.

The qualifications prescribed must have been obtained from recognised Universities or Institutions. The essential qualifications and experience indicated are the bare minimum required for the role, and mere possession of these will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
Selection will take place in two parts.
NLSIU reserves the right to hold more than one round of interview, either in person or over video conferencing, and to conduct independent background checks on candidates. The University also reserves the right to request references from persons not listed in the application form but who would be familiar with the candidate's previous work. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email, and all correspondence will be made through email only.
Interested individuals should go through the University's website, fill in the online Application Form, and upload certificates supporting their claim for educational qualifications, age and experience, on or before 11 August 2026, 5:00 PM IST.
Incomplete applications, in any form, will not be considered by the University. Candidates will be required to produce original documents at the time of interview. There is no application fee mentioned in the notification.
