The CNLU-CARCIL National Deal Negotiation Competition on FinTech Laws, 2026 invites you to test and refine your negotiation, transactional and commercial drafting skills by simulating real-world deal-making at the intersection of finance, technology and law. The competition is held as Day 3 of the CARCIL National Corporate Fest, 2026.
It runs in three hierarchical stages: a written Deal Brief submission, virtual preliminary negotiation rounds for the top 24 teams, and on-campus final rounds for the top 8 teams at CNLU, Patna on 5 September 2026.
The competition is organised by Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna through its Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL). CARCIL is the centre behind the CARCIL National Corporate Fest and the CARCIL Corporate Law Review.
The competition proceeds through three stages, with progression depending entirely on performance in the preceding stage:

The registration fee is Rs. 2,000 per team. Teams that qualify to the top 24 for the Stage II preliminary rounds pay an additional Rs. 3,000 per team.
Register through the official Google Form before 15 July 2026 and pay the prescribed registration fee. Each team is allotted a Team Code on registration, to be used in place of its name and institution. All deadlines follow Indian Standard Time (IST).
