Code.Court.Future is a single-day National Workshop on "The Nuances, Applications, and Legal Literacy Surrounding AI in India", organised by Xavier Law School, St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, in association with the Technology Counsel Foundation (TECOF), an initiative by IIT Kharagpur alumni. The programme combines a technical understanding of Artificial Intelligence with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing it, focusing on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, data privacy, ethics, and practical application.
The workshop is built around three interconnected pillars: AI literacy; understanding AI's impact on law and work; and real-world policy and privacy discussions through structured debate. Through demonstrations, simulations, and hands-on exercises, participants gain practical exposure to AI-powered research, drafting, compliance, and workflow tools, alongside the ethical and legal considerations of using them responsibly.
Participation is subject to a nominal registration fee of Rs 250 per participant. Registered participants receive access to all workshop and debate sessions, participation in the AI tabletop exercise, networking opportunities, refreshments and high tea, and a Certificate of Participation. The best teams may be considered for advanced AI and Machine Learning training offered through TECOF in hybrid mode.
Complete the registration form through the official event portal, pay the prescribed fee, and receive confirmation from the organising committee. Students may register individually, be nominated by their institution through a faculty coordinator, or attend as part of an institutional delegation.
