The University of Liverpool is organising a two-day conference on International Cooperation under the European Convention on Human Rights on 15-16 October 2026 at the School of Law and Social Justice, Liverpool, United Kingdom. Hosted under the International Law and Human Rights Unit of Liverpool Law School, the conference is an Open Council of Europe Academic Networks (OCEAN) event and is built around a dialogue between academic scholars and practising experts from the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe.
The conference is convened by Dr Antal Berkes (University of Liverpool) and Dr Tamás Molnár (EU Agency for Fundamental Rights / Corvinus University of Budapest).
Papers may cover any aspect of the conference topic, including Convention rights and cooperation in the fields of:
The call for papers is open to interested scholars at all levels: PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and established scholars.

Authors of accepted abstracts are expected to submit their full papers by 15 December 2026.
Selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal; the currently envisaged outlet is the European Yearbook on Human Rights.
The official call does not mention any submission or registration fee.
