Contractual Faculty (Law) and Professional Experts at Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj (6 Posts, Rs 45,000 per Month; Walk-in 14 October)

The University of Allahabad, a Central University at Prayagraj, has invited applications for a walk-in interview to engage contractual Faculty and Professional Experts for its B.A. LL.B. (Hons) Five Year Integrated Course (Self Finance), run by the Faculty of Law. The call was issued under Advertisement No. UoA/F-SF/01/2026 dated 26 September 2026 and is listed on the university website under News and Announcements.

The university reserves the right to change the number of vacancies in any category and to withdraw the notification partly or fully without assigning any reason.

• Faculty (in Law Subjects): 4 posts (UR 2, OBC 1, SC 1)
• Professional Experts having a minimum of 10 years of practice in law: 2 posts (UR)

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD candidates applies as per UGC Guidelines and Government of India rules.

• Qualifications are as per the UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2018.
• 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading is followed), with a 5% relaxation for the specified categories, based only on the qualifying marks and without grace marks.
• Professional Experts must have at least 10 years of practice in law.
• The medium of instruction in the course is strictly English, so candidates must be proficient in English.
• OBC candidates in the creamy layer must apply as Unreserved candidates.

• Faculty: a fixed amount of Rs 45,000 per month, on a purely temporary contract basis up to 31 May 2027.
• Professional Experts: Rs 1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs 50,000 per month, for the academic session 2026-27.

A non-refundable fee of Rs 500 for UR, EWS and SEBC candidates and Rs 200 for SC and ST candidates is payable through RTGS/NEFT. PwD and female candidates are exempted from the fee.

The application form is attached to the official notification PDF linked below. Fill it in capital letters, sign it and paste a recent passport-size photograph.

• Enclose self-attested photocopies of mark-sheets, certificates and degrees, the fee receipt and other relevant documents.
• SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates must submit the proper category certificate in the Government of India proforma.
• Only the matriculation/SSC certificate is accepted as proof of date of birth.
• Report in person on 14 October 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the New Building of the Faculty of Law, University of Allahabad, Bank Road Crossing, Chatham Lines, Prayagraj 211002, with the duly filled application form, self-attested copies and original documents.

• Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
• No T.A. or D.A. will be paid for attending the interview.
• Canvassing in any form is a disqualification.
• The notification states that no queries will be entertained. Any corrigendum or update will be posted on the university website, which candidates should check periodically for the date, time and venue of the interview.
• Selected candidates must be in sound bodily health and may be asked to undergo a medical examination.
