National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has issued Advertisement No. NFSU/RECRUIT/FAC/CONT/02/2026 (dated 16 July 2026) inviting eligible candidates for contractual faculty positions at its Gandhinagar Campus for the Academic Year 2026-2027. A total of 56 posts are on offer across nine schools, with Law expressly among the recruited disciplines.
For Assistant Professor (regular remuneration), a Ph.D. in the concerned or allied discipline with a minimum of 60% at the preceding degree and two publications in UGC-CARE / Web of Science / Scopus journals is required. Candidates who have completed the Ph.D. viva voce may also apply. Where a suitable Ph.D. candidate is not found, a Master's degree with a minimum of 60% plus UGC-NET (or a very good academic record where NET is not conducted) is considered for the lower remuneration or Lecturer positions.
Applications are submitted through the official Google Form linked in the notification. An application fee of INR 1,000 per post is payable through UPI to the designated bank account, and the payment screenshot must be attached with the application. If applying for more than one post, the fee must be paid separately for each post. The fee is non-refundable.
Shortlisted candidates attend an in-person interview after document verification at the NFSU Gandhinagar Campus. The domain-wise interview schedule is fixed: the Law and Cyber Law interviews are held on 2 August 2026 at 10:00 AM. Candidates must bring original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the interview.
