Corporate Counsel at Amazon, Bengaluru (8-14 yrs PQE)

Amazon's Legal Department is hiring a Corporate Counsel (Seller Services – Marketplace) to support its Indian marketplace operations. This is an individual contributor position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, reporting to the Director Legal (Job ID: 10457344).

In this role, you will counsel the seller services, brand relations, marketplace trust and product-tech teams on a broad range of legal matters involving foreign direct investment, competition, consumer protection, privacy, information technology and intellectual property laws as they apply to Amazon.in's marketplace business.

• Advising business teams on new initiatives and providing day-to-day corporate counsel.
• Conducting legal reviews and helping structure seller and brand programs for Amazon.in.
• Drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Coordinating with Amazon's global legal teams and external counsel.

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B. in India or equivalent law degree from another common law jurisdiction).
• 8-14 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Proficiency in written and oral English.
• Background in technology/content licensing and the e-commerce industry.
• Competence in a broad range of corporate, legal compliance and business laws.
• Ability to analyse business processes, structure solutions and exercise excellent legal and business judgment.

• A combination of corporate law firm and in-house counsel experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex business relationships at scale.
• Experience handling multiple projects in deadline-driven settings.
• Experience navigating complex regulatory environments in growth-stage companies.
