Counsel at Aditya Birla Capital, Delhi (4-7 yrs PQE)

Aditya Birla Capital Limited is hiring a Counsel for its Risk and Legal team in Delhi. This is a full-time, in-house role focused on property law and title documentation review, suited to qualified lawyers with 4-7 years of post-qualification experience.

Aditya Birla Capital Limited is the holding company for the financial services businesses of the Aditya Birla Group, one of India's largest conglomerates. It operates across lending, asset management, insurance, and other financial services, serving millions of customers nationwide.

As Counsel within the Risk and Legal function, you will primarily handle property-law matters and title diligence. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and analysing Title Search Reports and legal opinions
• Examining chain of title, encumbrances, and municipal and tax records
• Identifying title defects and recommending corrective measures
• Evaluating property types, including freehold, leasehold, government, and agricultural land
• Advising on stamping, registration, and jurisdiction-specific requirements

You should have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in law
• 4-7 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience in collections for the mid-market or corporate segment
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and high ethical standards
• Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Technical proficiency with MIS and fraud systems
• Flexibility to travel and undertake on-ground work where required
