As Executive - Trademark & Litigation, you will be a member of the Trademark department, working under the supervision of the Head of Trademark and the Lead Trademark. The role focuses on trademark, copyright, design, and litigation-related matters, and includes participation in seizure operations involving trademark infringement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Head of Trademark in developing and implementing trademark, copyright, and design strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Conducting trademark, copyright, and design searches and clearance activities to assess brand availability and infringement risks.
• Preparing and filing trademark, domain name, and copyright applications in compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitoring trademark, copyright, and design renewals and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on trademark, copyright, and design litigation matters.
• Assisting in managing trademark disputes, court litigation, and domain-name misuse cases, and implementing protective measures.
• Identifying and reporting violations of trademark regulations and bringing matters requiring intervention to the department head.
• Communicating updates from Marketing and other departments to the Head of Trademark, and guiding the team on legal procedures.

This role suits someone with the following profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Intellectual Property, or a related field.
• Specialisation or knowledge in Trademark and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
• 4-5 years of experience in trademark law, brand protection, or intellectual property management.
• Sound knowledge of trademark laws and regulations, copyright issues, and design protection.
• Proficiency in conducting trademark searches and managing trademark applications.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, with a detail-oriented focus on accuracy and compliance.
