The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA), Guwahati is organising a Faculty Development Programme on Action Research / Field Research from 15 to 23 July 2026. NLUJAA was established by the Government of Assam under the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009, with the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court as its Chancellor.
The programme introduces the fundamentals of action research and field research in law, moving beyond purely literature-based study to solution-oriented work grounded in what stakeholders actually require. It covers the full research cycle: identifying a research gap, formulating research problems and questionnaires, proposal writing and budgeting, conducting pilot studies, planning field visits, data collection, interpretation and analysis, validation strategies, research ethics, and report writing.
Sessions will be delivered by an eminent panel of resource persons including Prof. (Dr.) Sairam Bhat, Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijayakumar, Prof. (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao, Prof. (Dr.) Anirban Chakraborty, Prof. (Dr.) Yashomati Ghosh, Prof. (Dr.) Shashikala Gurpur, Prof. (Dr.) Khushal Vibhute and Dr. Shailendra Kumar.

Interested participants must register through the official Google Form and pay the applicable registration fee (Rs 3000 for working professionals, Rs 2500 for research scholars, and Rs 2000 for PG students and others).
