National Law University, Tripura (NLUT) is a state national law university established by Tripura Act 3 of 2022, located at Narsingarh, Agartala, West Tripura. In accordance with the faculty posts sanctioned by the Government of Tripura, the University has invited applications for regular faculty positions vide Advertisement No. NLUT/Faculty-Recruitment/2026/01.
For the Professor and Associate Professor posts, candidates may be allowed to join on deputation basis.
Candidates with degrees, doctoral/post-doctoral experience or teaching experience from reputed universities in India and abroad would be preferred.
The fee is payable online by scanning the QR code in the notification, or to the University's UCO Bank account (A/c No. 32490210001028, IFSC UCBA0003249, Narsingarh Branch; UPI: nlut@ucobank). The fee payment receipt must be uploaded in the online application form.
The application process is entirely online. Applicants must apply in the prescribed format through the online application form (Google Form) linked on the official website; applications in any other format will be rejected. All documents (degree certificates, mark sheets, publications, experience certificates, proof of reservation category, proof of age, NOC where applicable) must be scanned clearly and uploaded with the application. Hard copies are not required at the application stage.
Candidates who are currently employed must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer, and applicants serving in Government/Semi-Government organisations, PSUs or autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel.
As per the corrigendum, applicants for the Assistant Professor post must also upload the duly completed Academic/Research Score form as per Appendix II, Table 3A of the UGC Regulations 2018, along with supporting documents.
The academic/research score (UGC Regulations 2018, Appendix II) is used only for shortlisting candidates for interview; selection is based on performance in the interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called, and the University may conduct a written test and/or demo lecture at the time of the interview. Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents at the in-person interview, expected in the 3rd/4th week of July 2026. The University reserves the right to fill or not fill any advertised post.
